The Melbourne Ducks were a semi-professional ice hockey team playing out of iceHQ (Melbourne) and competing in the Pacific Hockey League.

Featuring a number of past and present AIHL players - alongside IHV Prem. A and international talent - the Melbourne Ducks were be a foundational part of the Pacific Hockey League for its lone 2022 season.

In 2021, the Melbourne Ducks formed with the intention of fielding a team in the AIHL.

After hosting two successful games against the Melbourne Ice in May 2021 - with the Ducks and Ice both taking a win each - an invitation to join the AIHL was not forthcoming.

Fast forward to February 2022 and the rise of the Pacific Hockey League provided the Ducks with an opportunity to take flight!
