As a newly-formed club in in 2019 - 2020, the iceHQ Ducks received endorsement from three (established), senior IHV clubs, being the Bison (formerly the Braves but rebranded in 2024), Demons and Monarchs.
Having established their own Junior Club in 2024, the Demons are no longer an affiliate of the iceHQ Ducks. We thank them for their time, contributions and wish them luck on their own junior hockey journey!
Both the Bison and Monarchs remain current iceHQ Ducks affiliates.
Bison
Established in 1997 as the Braves, the Bison Ice Hockey Club is based in Melbourne, Australia and plays out of the O’Brien Icehouse, iceHQ and Olympic Ice Skating Centre.
The Bison field teams across all four divisions of Ice Hockey Victoria’s (IHV) Winter competition: Premier A, Senior B, Senior C and Senior D.
In addition, the club is also represented by multiple teams in the IHV Summer Competition.
The Bison also housed a junior affiliate team in the iceHQ Junior Summer League (JSL) prior to its format change.
Monarchs
The Monarchs Ice Hockey Club is committed to providing its players and members with a fun ice hockey experience. We offer sound training and coaching and to encourage participation by everyone involved in the club.
The Monarchs has one of the longest and most successful records in the history of ice hockey in Victoria.
The Monarchs games are played at the Olympic Ice Hockey Rink on Centre Road in Oakleigh South, and at the Icehouse in Docklands.
